Planting of this garden only began three years ago yet it has already established itself as an exuberant botanical collection. In amongst tall trees and even taller buildings we find the perfect conditions of light and humidity for growing tropical plants. “The aim is to recreate the environment of a forest, where it’s possible to forget the outside world” – says the owner and gardener of this urban jewel.

This private garden in the centre of Lisbon will be open for guided visits led by its owners, but its address will remain secret. The meeting point, indicated in our materials, is where you can find a Jardins Abertos volunteer who will accompany you to the garden.

Here you will find Alocasias, Aphelandras, Begonias, Marantas, Calatheas, Goeppertias, different species of ferns… The variety is great, as is our curiosity to pay a visit!
