Conde dos Arcos Farm

A place of learning and enjoyment

27/28 May

14:00 — 18:00

Av. Dr. Francisco Luís Gomes 30

* Self-guided visit

Pets are not allowed.
The access is limited, on a first-come, first-served basis, without prior registration.
This is an entirely free event.

This farm is located in Olivais and it is where the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa (Lisbon City Council) has its schools of gardeners and Portuguese cobblestone workers. Aside from those two places of learning, there is also a municipal nursery, a horticultural park, a children’s playground, and a coffee shop.
Even though the place and its infrastructures have been recently requalified, an old Dracaena draco still stands to represent the gardens that existed there once, since the 17th century.

It is a place worth visiting, where the quiet water from the reflecting pool mirrors the leaves of the Strelitzia nicolai or the large canopy of an Araucaria bidwillii.
