A garden is a place of memories, where stories are created. From its earlier days, the three citrus trees tangerine, lemon and orange have been preserved, while everything that was previously kept in pots has now been planted out. The geometry of the space allows for contrasts between different corners of light and shade, moisture and dryness.

“We want to be able to look at the garden and imagine we’re somewhere else, in Morocco, Mexico, or some tropical jungle” the owner tells us about her garden, which belongs to the house named Casa Mir ‘world’ or ‘peace’ in Russian.

This private garden in the centre of Lisbon will be open for guided visits led by its owners, but its address will remain secret. The meeting point, indicated in our materials, is where you can find a Jardins Abertos volunteer who will accompany you to the garden.
