Each garden has a different capacity and maximum length of stay. The access is limited, on a first-come, first-served basis, without prior registration. Pets are not allowed.

A unique garden where the Gothic graves and Celtic crosses merge with the shadows of the tall Cypress trees, Mediterranean hackberries, and Dragon trees.

The British Cemetery is located in front of Jardim da Estrela, hidden behind a discreet gate. Since the 18th century, this has been the final resting place for English and Dutch Protestants living in Lisbon. After the Napoleonic Wars, a church dedicated to Saint George was built, which today serves as a centre for the Anglican community in the capital.

Thanks to its vegetation, which was planted on the graves, the resulting atmosphere is one of peace and tranquillity — an approach to showing the cemetery as a place that celebrates life and nature.
