Starting from an idea dreamt up by a small group of students, HortaFCUL was founded in mid-2009. Now it is a space where various interested parties work together on the development of systemically-designed projects that have a real-world application and a local identity, and are inspired by ecological principles.

This activity is for all plant lovers in Lisbon and its surroundings, from beginners to experts. We will walk through the HortaFCUL site and identify plants using touch, sight and smell. We will then make use of the plants’ extraordinary ability to reproduce as we propagate some using grafting techniques. Join in with this quick lesson in applied botany!
