Urbem is a social NGO with an environmental mission, run by volunteers who work under a shared vision of reconnecting people with forests and the environment.

This urban forest is the result of a partnership between Lisbon City Council – within the scope of the international project Conexus (H2020) – Piloto 1 RENATURA. The project LIFE LUNGS, part of the EU LIFE programme, is another project that supports this pilot through Lisbon City Council. Urbem also receives further support from PLMJ.

This guided visit along a 1200 metre-long footpath begins at the Vale do Casal Vistoso Urban Forest and ends at the sheep meadow in Belavista Park. It will take in the methodology of Miyawaki forests, and participants will be able to try delicacies produced by the flock of sheep that maintains the meadow within this green infrastructure.
