In the gardens of the Museum of Lisbon – Pimenta Palace there are countless plants and animals, each of them with their own role in its ecosystem. Far from view, hidden in the soil underneath layers of plant detritus, there are worms turning vegetable waste into the compost fundamental to the plant community and other organisms in the garden.
In this workshop you will roll your sleeves up to discover the process of composting, the creatures involved, and their role in the life cycle of the gardens. Join us at the composting station at Pimenta Palace.
