Currently attached to the National Costume Museum and the National Theatre and Dance Museum in Lumiar, this Park occupies around 11 hectares where we can still recognise the original structure of recreational estates: botanical garden, rose garden, orchard, meadows, woods and vegetable garden. Among its admirable vegetation, we can find the first Norfolk Pine (Araucaria heterophylla) to be planted in mainland Portugal, 180 years ago.

This visit is led by Rui Costa, the landscape architect responsible for the Park, who will tell us about its various constitutive elements, the features that reveal the art of gardening from different eras, the Park’s owners and its current keepers.
