Efeito de Estufa
Efeito de Estufa presents an interdisciplinary programme that sees architecture, art and the natural landscape of Lisbon converge in a reflection on today’s environmental challenges, helping us to imagine new and sustainable models of collective living for the future.
Three unique green spaces around the city will become homes to three ephemeral structures designed and installed by architecture collectives. These structures will in turn become spaces for six artists — from the areas of visual arts, performance and sound — to develop new works. There will also be performances, workshops and guided visits, all taking place in the Estufa Fria de Lisboa, Parque Botânico do Monteiro-Mor and the gardens of Museu de Lisboa.
Efeito de Estufa, organised by Jardins Abertos festival, invites everyone to take part in this dialogue between nature, architects and artists, and to discover these three "estufas" (greenhouses) for ideas and reflections that could make our future greener.
Across spaces of heritage, cultural and natural interest in Lisbon, Efeito de Estufa takes place over three weekends.
